PREPARATION

1. Launch Paint Shop Pro and open the graphic

2. Shift+D to duplicate it

3. Close the original

4. Activate the Dropper Tool (E)

Add the following colors to the swatch palette as you choose them
Add white to the swatch palette as well














5. Left click a darker color in the graphic to set the Foreground and Stroke color in the Materials Palette

6. Right click a lighter shade of the color to set the Background and Fill color in the Materials Palette

7. Set the Foreground and Stroke Properties to pattern Settings:
GoldFoil
Angle: 0
Scale: 100

8. Set the Background and Fill Properties to gradient Settings:









9. Image>Resize Settings:
No greater than 350 pixels on the largest side
Resize using: checked
Resample using: checked
Smart Size is selected
Maintain original print size is not checked
Lock aspect ratio: checked
Resize all layers is checked
Make a note of the height

10. Adjust>Sharpness>Sharpen if necessary

11. Shift+D to duplicate

12.  Minimize one of the copies

6. Right click the canvas to flood fill it with the background gradient

7. Lower the opacity of this layer to around 80%

8. Layers>Merge>Merge All (Flatten)

a. Selections>Promote Selection to Layer

c. Use the freehand selection tool to select these crooked areas
It doesn't matter if you go over the lines as you are on another layer and we will delete the excess

d. Once you have the crooked parts selected flood fill with the appropriate color either black or
white to make it a straight edge
In my example it was black












e. Selections>Select None

Working with the top layer

f. Selections>Select All

g. Selections>Modify Contract by 30 pixels

h. Edit>Clear

i. Selections>Select None

j. Layers>Merge>Merge All (Flatten)
